I biked over to the Quebec side last night for an installment of Spins and Needles at the Museum of Civilization. It was like a daycare for adults. Booze, amazing loud music and crafts. We were given the choice of making a voodoo doll that looks like yourself or a mobile. I made a doll.
The first hour was very weird. I couldn't believe the amount of people coming in and the vast age difference. Grandmas and 20 year olds. And everybody getting down to crafting seriously. Young women coming in alone after work, politely nodding to the people at their tables then, making crafts man. And lot's of straight guys.
The music was so good it was as if I had awaken from a long sleep.
